Daily Upgrade & Switch Program Launches 8/27

Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) is rolling out a new way for Student Commuter permit holders to find parking more easily on campus. Starting 8/27, the Daily Upgrade program will be available with a brand-new Daily Switch permit option.

The Daily Switch permit allows students with Student Commuter East or West permits to park in the south lots (Lots 50 & 51) of Commuter South for a single day.

Key Details:

  • Available only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

  • Free of charge

  • Daily limit of 300 permits – once they’re gone, they’re gone

  • No changes to your main permit – your regular East or West designation stays in place

This initiative is designed to spread parking demand across campus, making it easier for Student Commuters to find a space and get to class on time.

To participate, simply log into MAVPARK and select a Daily Switch permit to change your starting location on campus for the next day.
